Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
