Most Auspicious is He Who created lofty towers in the sky and placed a lamp in it, and the luminous moon. 61 It is He who has made the night and the day, one proceeding the other, for whoever wants to take heed or give thanks. 62 And the slaves of the Most Beneficent (Allah) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. 63 who pass their nights in prostrating themselves and standing before their Lord: 64 who pray, "Our Lord, save us from the torment of Hell, for its torment is killing: 65 Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; 66 Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes); 67 who do not call upon another god with Allah, nor slay the soul which Allah has forbidden except by right; who do not fornicate, for he who does this shall face punishment 68 and his torment shall be doubled on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall abide in a state of ignominy, 69 Except one who repents and accepts faith and does good deeds – so Allah will turn their evil deeds into virtues; and Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 70 And whoever repents and does good, he surely turns to Allah a (goodly) turning. 71 And those who witness not falsehood, and when they pass by some vanity pass by with dignity. 72 who do not turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the signs of their Lord when they are reminded of them; 73 And they who say: O our Lord! grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy of our eyes, and make us guides to those who guard (against evil). 74 They will all receive Paradise as their reward for their forbearance and patience, where they will be greeted with, "Peace be with you." 75 Abiding therein; goodly the abode and the resting-place. 76 Say, "What would my Lord care for you, if you do not call on Him. Because you have indeed rejected the truth and His punishment is bound to overtake you. 77
