Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
