The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the event befalleth - 1 There is no belying its coming to pass-- 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 and the mountains will crumble 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 Then those of the left hand -- how (unhappy) will be those of the left hand! 9 And the forerunners, the forerunners - 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A large group from the earlier generations. 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining face to face. 16 There wait on them immortal youths 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 Wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness, 19 And with fruits, any that they may select: 20 Bird meats that they relish, 21 and wide-eyed houris 22 like hidden pearls, 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 Therein they hear no vain or sinful discourse. 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 And spreading shade, 30 And water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit in plenty 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And [upon] beds raised high. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 for those on the Right, 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
