Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known extent. 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 The living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
