AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 We gave him back his family and doubled their number as a blessing from Us and as a reminder to the people of understanding. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 for, verily, We purified them by means of a thought most pure: the remembrance of the life to come. 46 and, in Our sight they were indeed among the select, the truly good! 47 Also, remember our worshipers Ishmael, Elisha, and ThulKifl, they are among the good. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 wherein they will recline, [and] wherein they may [freely] call for many a fruit and drink, 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They will say: 'Our Lord, give those who brought this upon us double the punishment of the Fire' 61 They say, 'How is it with us, that we do not see men here that we counted among the wicked? 62 "Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
