He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 and ease my task for me. 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 “In order that they may understand my speech.” 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 “That is Haroon, my brother.” 30 By him confirm my strength 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 "Verily! You are of us Ever a Well-Seer." 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 And speak to him with gentle speech that perhaps he may be reminded or fear [Allah]." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 Lo! it hath been revealed unto us that the doom will be for him who denieth and turneth away. 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 [Moses] answered: "Knowledge thereof rests with my Sustainer [alone, and is laid down] in His decree; my Sustainer does not err, and neither does He forget." 52 Who hath appointed the earth as a bed and hath threaded roads for you therein and hath sent down water from the sky and thereby We have brought forth divers kinds of vegetation, 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
