Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; 2 And those that flow with ease and gentleness; 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 They but destroy themselves, they who are given to guessing at what they cannot ascertain 10 who are heedless in the immersion. 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is certainly the truth. It is as true as your ability to speak. 23
