Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 The moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon are joined, 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 On that day, the station is only towards your Lord. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 Looking at their Lord (Allah); 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 knowing that a crushing calamity is about to befall them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
