Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the hills are moved, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the books are spread, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
