Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 "Go you in unto the males of the 'Alamin (mankind), 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
