Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 surely you are deeply at variance [as to what to believe] -- 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
