The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 107 so fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They said, “Shall we believe in you, whereas the abject people are with you?” 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 Lo! their reckoning is my Lord's concern, if ye but knew; 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 I am only a clear warner' 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will be stoned." 116 He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 122
