The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created man 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 the stars and the trees bend in prostration. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man of a clay like the potter's, 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 There come forth from the twain the pearl and the coral. 22 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
