The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls. 1 Then will no (soul) entertain falsehood concerning its coming. 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 And the hills are ground to powder 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 Those on the Right -- how blessed are those on the Right! 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 Then the foremost, how pre-excellent, 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 but only a few from the later generations. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining on them, arrayed face to face; 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 carrying goblets and ewers and cups filled with the purest wine, 18 No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 All this shall be theirs as a reward for their deeds. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 The Companions of the Right 27 (will be) among thornless Lote trees. 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 And shade extended 30 And water poured out 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Whose season is not limited, nor (supply) forbidden, 33 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
