Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 78 Peace be unto Noah among the peoples! 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And Abraham indeed was of his inducement, 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113
