Al-Zukhruf 4 of 7
If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of (Allah) Most Gracious, We appoint for him an evil one, to be an intimate companion to him. 36 and they bar them from the Way, though they themselves think that they are guided. 37 Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate! 38 (It will be said to them) “And you will not benefit from them this day, whereas you are unjust – for you are all partners in the punishment.” 39 (Muhammad), can you make the deaf hear or guide the blind or the one who is clearly in error? 40 Even if We take you away, We shall take vengeance upon them, 41 Or show you what We have promised them – We therefore have complete control over them. 42 So, hold fast to the Book that has been revealed to you, you are surely on the right path, 43 And indeed, it is a remembrance for you and your people, and you [all] are going to be questioned. 44 And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped? 45
