Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Reality! 1 How tremendous is the true event! 2 And what would make you realize what the sure calamity is! 3 Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity. 4 Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment. 5 And the 'Ad were destroyed by the furious cold blast of roaring wind 6 Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees. 7 Do you see any remnants of them? 8 Pharoah and those before him and the inhabitants of the overthrown cities persistently committed grave sins. 9 They disobeyed the Messenger of their Lord and He seized them with torment which increased with time. 10 And when the waters rose (high) We carried you in the sailing (Ark), 11 that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold. 12 So, when the Trumpet is blown with a single blast 13 And the earth is moved, and its mountains, and they are crushed to powder at one stroke,- 14 And so, that which must come to pass will on that day have come to pass; 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for on that Day it will be so frail. 16 The angels will stand on all its sides. And on that Day, eight (of them) will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 On that Day you will be brought to judgement and none of your secrets will remain hidden. 18 Then, as for him who is given his record in his right hand, he will say: Take, read my book! 19 "Surely, I did believe that I shall meet my Account!" 20 So he will be in a pleasant life - 21 In a high garden 22 The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. 23 (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed' 24 But as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he shall say, 'Would that I had not been given my book 25 and knew nothing of my reckoning. 26 Would it had been the end! 27 My wealth has not helped me a thing 28 Gone from me is my authority." 29 (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. 30 Then in the Scorch roast him 31 “Then bind him inside a chain which is seventy arm-lengths.” 32 Behold, he never believed in God the All-mighty, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 "So no friend hath he here this Day. 35 Nor any food except filth from the washing of wounds, 36 which none but the sinners eat!" 37
