Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Perish the hands of AbiLahab, and perish he! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
