Hizb 53
< random >
(O Prophet), did the story of Abraham's honoured guests reach you? 24 When they came to him they said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" [saying to himself]. "They are strangers." 25 Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, 26 He then presented it before them and said, “Do you not eat?” 27 And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. 28 Then his wife came forward, crying and beating her brow. She said, "I am surely a barren, old woman." 29 "Such is the will of your Lord," they replied. "He is the Wise, the All Knowing." 30 ۞ Said Ibrahim, “What is your task, O the sent angels?” 31 They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people 32 so that we may bring down upon them a shower of stones of clay, 33 Marked, from before thy Lord, for the extravagant. 34 And in the course of time We brought out [of Lot 's city] such [few] believers as were there: 35 We therefore found just one house over there that was Muslim. 36 We left a sign in this for those who fear the grievous punishment, 37 There is also a Sign for you in the story of Moses when We sent him with a clear authority to Pharaoh. 38 but he turned his back with his Assembly, saying: 'He is (either) a sorcerer or a mad man' 39 So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. 40 And in 'Ad (there is also a sign) when We sent against them the barren wind; 41 Which turned everything it touched to ashes. 42 And also in Thamood, when it was said to them, 'Take your enjoyment for a while!' 43 But they brazenly disobeyed their Lord's command, and then a sudden chastisement overtook them while they looked on. 44 Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. 45 (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. 46

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
