The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 When the scrolls are laid open; 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
