THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and at night.
