Whatever misfortune befalls you is a consequence of your deeds; yet He forgives much. 30 And you cannot escape in the earth; and you have neither a friend nor any supporter against Allah. 31 Further evidence (of His existence) are the ships which stand as mountains in the sea. 32 if He will, He calms the wind so that they remain motionless upon its back, surely, there are signs in this for every thankful, patient (person). 33 Or He may destroy them because of that which they have earned, and He may pardon many of them. 34 Those who dispute Our verses may know that they have no asylum. 35 Whatever you have received is just a means of enjoyment for this life but the reward of God for the believers and those who trust in their Lord will be better and everlasting. 36 who eschew grave sins and shameful deeds, and whenever they are angry, forgive; 37 Those who hearken to their Lord, and establish regular Prayer; who (conduct) their affairs by mutual Consultation; who spend out of what We bestow on them for Sustenance; 38 and who, when insolence visits them, do help themselves -- 39 The retribution of a harmful deed is the harm equal to it; so whoever forgives and makes amends, so his reward is upon Allah; indeed He does not befriend the unjust. 40 Yet indeed, as for any who defend themselves after having been wronged - no blame whatever attaches to them: 41 The blame is only against those who oppress men and wrong-doing and insolently transgress beyond bounds through the land, defying right and justice: for such there will be a penalty grievous. 42 And verily whoso is patient and forgiveth - lo! that, verily, is (of) the steadfast heart of things. 43
