▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 And have ye made it your livelihood that ye should declare it false? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 and you are [at that moment] looking on [helplessly] -- 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 he will be welcomed with boiling water. 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 96
God the Almighty always says the truth.
