I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 and by the day when it dawns (with its radiance), 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 until death approached us". 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
