The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
