The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
OH, the sudden calamity! 1 What is the striking (Hour)? 2 And what shall teach thee what is the Clatterer? 3 The day that men shall be like scattered moths, 4 and the mountains will be like fluffy tufts of wool.... 5 And then, he whose weight [of good deeds] is heavy in the balance 6 He shall live a pleasant life. 7 But he whose deeds are lighter in the balance 8 Will have the Abyss for abode. 9 And what will explain to thee what this is? 10 It is a Fire, intensely hot. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
