54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Ha'. Mim. 1 A revelation from [God], the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful -- 2 a Book whose revelations are well expounded, an Arabic Quran for people who possess knowledge, 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And they say: our hearts are under veils from that whereunto thou callest us, and in our ears there is heaviness, and betwixt us and thee there is a curtain; work thou then, verily we are workers. 5 Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,- 6 Those who give not the Zakat and they are disbelievers in the Hereafter. 7 But those who believe and do the right, will have a continuing reward. 8
