The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by those that swim serenely 3 Then press forward as in a race, 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go unto Pharaoh - for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of what is right 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 Yet he belied and disobeyed. 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 Saying: "I am your lord, most high", 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
