The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Has created man from a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood). 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 Who taught by the pen - 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious. 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We shall call on the guards of Hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
