O believers, obey God and His Messenger, and do not turn away from him when you hear (him speak); 20 and be not as those who say, 'We hear,' and they hear not. 21 ۞ Verily, the vilest of all creatures in the sight of God are those deaf, those dumb ones who do not use their reason. 22 If Allah had found in them any good. He would indeed have made them listen: (As it is), if He had made them listen, they would but have turned back and declined (Faith). 23 Believers, obey God and the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. Know that God stands between man and his heart, and you shall all be gathered in His presence. 24 And be cautious against a sedition that will not smite the harmdoers alone. Know that the punishment of Allah is Stern. 25 And remember when you were few, deemed weak in the land, fearing lest people might carry you off by force, but He sheltered you and strengthened you with His aid and gave you of the good things that you may give thanks. 26 O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence]. 27 Know that your wealth and children are a trial and that there is an immense reward with God. 28
