The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 who are humble in their prayers; 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 then We made him, a drop, in a secure receptacle (the womb). 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
