And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 (a revelation embodied) in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Even so, We have caused it to enter into the hearts of harmdoers: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 By way of reminder, and We have never been unjust. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
