3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 "What is the matter with you that you speak not?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "My Lord! Grant me (offspring) from the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
