And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 [For,] would We treat those who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds in the same manner as [We shall treat] those who spread corruption on earth? Would We treat the God-conscious in the same manner as the wicked? 28 It is a Blessed Book that We have sent down to you (Prophet Muhammad), so that those possessed with minds might ponder its verses and remember. 29 We gave Solomon to David; and he was an excellent worshiper, he was penitent. 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 he said, "My love of horses for the cause of God has made me continue watching them until sunset, thus making me miss my prayer". 32 "Bring them back to me!" -- [he said] and began to stroke their legs and their necks. 33 And, indeed We did try Sulaiman (Solomon) and We placed on his throne Jasadan (a devil, so he lost his kingdom for a while) but he did return (to his throne and kingdom by the Grace of Allah and he did return) to Allah with obedience and in repentance. 34 He said: "My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: Verily, You are the Bestower." 35 We therefore gave the wind under his control, moving steadily by his command wherever he wished. 36 and also the jinn, every kind of builder and diver 37 and others joined together by (iron) fetters. 38 [We said], "This is Our gift, so grant or withhold without account." 39 And indeed for him in Our presence are, surely, proximity and an excellent abode. 40
