'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 Make my task easy 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 And associate him (with me) in my affair, 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 And remember Thee oft. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 "Go with your brother. Take My miracles and do not be reluctant in preaching My message. 42 Go, both of you, to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 Pharaoh said, 'Who is your Lord, Moses?' 49 Musa said: our Lord is He who vouchsafed unto everything its creation, then guided it. 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 To eat and feed your cattle. Surely there are signs in these for those who are wise. 54
