O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 who associate none with their Lord in His Divinity, 59 And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 Aye! their hearts are in bewilderment in respect thereof, and they have works beside that, of which they are workers. 63 Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. 64 "Do not supplicate for help today; you will not be rescued by Us; 65 My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels 66 "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." 67 Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 Or they say, “He is afflicted by a demon”; in fact he brought the Truth to them, and most of them dislike the Truth. 70 And were the truth to follow their desires there would have been corrupted the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is therein. Aye! We have come to them with their admonition; so it is from their admonition that they turn away. 71 Or, do you ask a tribute from them? Your Lord's tribute is better. He is the Best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ Even if We were to grant them mercy and rescue them from hardship, they would still blindly persist in their rebellion. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 until We opened the gate of greater torment (death) and they suddenly found themselves in despair. 77
