Prostration

Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
