In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
