The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 while they sat around it, 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
