And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 there is nothing beyond our first death; we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!" 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 none of this have We created without [an inner] truth: but most of them understand it not. 39 The Day of Decision is the appointed time for all. 40 The day on which a friend shall not avail (his) friend aught, nor shall they be helped, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
