The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is no joke. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
