Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
The pious will live in gardens with streams 45 (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." 46 We shall cast out any grudge they may have in their hearts. (There) they will sit on couches face to face like brothers together. 47 "No sense of fatigue shall touch them, nor shall they (ever) be asked to leave it." 48 ۞ Tell My servants I am the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate, 49 and that My punishment is a painful punishment. 50 And tell them of Abraham's guests, 51 when they came to him they greeted him with: "Peace." He said,"We feel afraid of you." 52 Said they: "Fear not! Behold, we bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with deep knowledge." 53 He said, 'What, do you give me good tidings, though old age has smitten me? Of what do you 54 They said: "We give thee glad tidings in truth: be not then in despair!" 55 Abraham said: "Who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except the misguided?" 56 He added: "What is your errand O sent ones?" 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all 59 But not his wife; we have decreed that she will be of those staying behind. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
