۞ Allah has commanded: "Do not take two gods; for He is but One God. So fear Me alone." 51 And His is all that is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him [alone] obedience is always due: will you, then, pay reverence to aught but Him? 52 And whatever favor is (bestowed) on you it is from Allah; then when evil afflicts you, to Him do you cry for aid. 53 Then, when He has removed the harm from you, behold! Some of you associate others in worship with their Lord (Allah). 54 So (as a result of that) they deny (with ungratefulness) that (Allah's Favours) which We have bestowed on them! Then enjoy yourselves (your short stay), but you will come to know (with regrets). 55 And they appoint a share of that We have provided them to what they know not. By God, you shall be questioned as to that you forged. 56 They assign daughters to God, glory be to Him!, but for themselves [sons] that they desire to have. 57 When the glad news of the birth of their daughter is brought to them, their faces turn gloomy and black with anger. 58 He hides himself from the people because of the evil of that which is announced to him. Shall he keep it with disgrace or bury it (alive) in the dust? Now surely evil is what they judge. 59 For those who do not believe in the Hereafter is the description of evil; and for Allah is the highest attribute. And He is Exalted in Might, the Wise. 60
