Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 This Scripture is sent down from God, the Mighty and Wise One. 2 Verily in the heavens and the earth, are Signs for those who believe. 3 In creating you and spreading all the moving things (on earth) are signs for people firm of faith, 4 And in the succession of night and day, and in the means of subsistence which God sends down from the skies, giving life thereby to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the change of the winds: [in all this] there are messages for people who use their reason. 5 Such are the verses of Allah. We recite them to you in truth. So in what speech, after Allah and His signs, will they believe? 6 Woe to all the guilty impostors! 7 He hears the revelations of God which are recited to him, then persists in his arrogance as if he had not even heard them. Tell him that he will suffer a painful torment. 8 And when he cometh to know aught of Our revelations, he taketh it scoffingly. These! theirs shall be a torment ignominous; 9 Gehenna (Hell) is behind them, all that they have earned shall not help them at all, nor shall those they took as guardians, other than Allah. For them there is a mighty punishment. 10 This [Qur'an] is guidance. And those who have disbelieved in the verses of their Lord will have a painful punishment of foul nature. 11
