Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
