The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 It will engulf them. 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
