Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 cleaving there with a host! 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 and all that is in the hearts is made public, 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
