The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

WHEN THE EARTH quakes with her [last] mighty quaking, 1 And the earth bringeth forth her burthens, 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 Because your Lord has inspired it. 5 On that Day will all men come forward, cut off from one another, to be shown their [past] deeds. 6 So whoever does a good deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 7 And whosoever hath worked ill of an atom's weight shall behold it. 8
