And recite to them the news of Abraham, 69 when he asked his father and his people: "What do you worship?" 70 They replied: 'We worship idols and continue cleaving to them' 71 He asked them, "Can the idols hear you when you pray to them 72 or do they profit you, or harm?' 73 They replied, "But we found our fathers doing the same." 74 He said: 'Have you considered what you worship, 75 You and your ancient sires. 76 Yet they are my enemies except the Lord of all the worlds 77 "Who has created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 It is He who gives me food and drink 79 "And when I am ill, it is He who cures me. 80 "And He will give me death, then resurrect me." 81 And He Who, I long, shall forgive me my faults, on the Day of Requital. 82 My Lord, bestow wisdom upon me; unite me with the righteous; 83 Make my words come true in the future. 84 And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Delight, 85 And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. 86 and do not disgrace me on the Day when all people are resurrected, 87 "The day when neither wealth will benefit nor will sons." 88 "Except he who presented himself before Allah, with a sound heart." 89 And the Garden will be brought nigh for those who ward off (evil). 90 And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators, 91 They will be asked: "Where are those you worshipped 92 Besides Allah? Can they help you or yet help themselves? 93 So they and all the astray were flung into hell. 94 And all the armies of Iblis. 95 And they will say, and they will be quarrelling in it: 96 "By oath of Allah, we were indeed in open error." 97 when we assigned to you a position equal to that of the Lord of the Universe. 98 And none has brought us into error except the Mujrimun [Iblis (Satan) and those of human beings who commit crimes, murderers, polytheists, oppressors, etc.]. 99 We have no one to intercede for us before God 100 Nor any sincere friend. 101 Would that we had a second chance [in life,] so that we could be among the believers!" 102 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 103 And indeed your Lord - only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 104

ColorfulQuran.com does not endorse or prefer any particular translation over another and displays it only for information.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
